Advanced Open Water eLearning course
The Advanced Open Water eLearning course is for certified divers wishing to take their scuba diving skills to the next level.
The online program has seven sections and includes deep diving and underwater navigation.
The PADI Advanced Open Water eLearning program will develop your underwater knowledge and skills. You can enrol immediately after completing your PADI Open Water Diver certification. The course also helps you build confidence and introduces you to different diving activities. These include wreck diving as well as night diving and drift diving. After completing your eLearning, you’ll make five Adventure Dives. These include a deep dive (beyond 18m), a navigation dive, and three additional Adventure Dives of your choice.
*This course fee only covers your online training, assessments and certification card. Practical training fees, dives, dive equipment, student slate and logbook are available for an additional cost.
Academic
You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation. You will then choose the other three, resulting in a total of five dives.
During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects as well as the challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and besides helping you navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.
The other knowledge and skills depend on your interests. Options include photography as well as buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.
Prerequisites & Requirements

- Course Prerequisites: Open Water Diver/Junior Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
- Time Commitment: Approximately 8 hours
