Tec 45

Embark on a journey beyond recreational diving as this course immerses you in the intricate world of technical diving. Building upon the foundation laid by Tec 40, the Tec 45 course propels your Tec diver training to greater depths. Serving as the second sub-course in the comprehensive Tec Diver program, it can be tailored to incorporate side mount techniques as needed.

Course Content:

The Tec 45 Course delves into diverse topics including equipment rigging, gas planning, team diving, technical hand signals, gas shutdown drills, gas switching, long hose gas sharing, lift bag deployment, use of deco cylinders, equipment and gas failure procedures, diver emergencies and rescue drills, oxygen management, deco computer software, and the execution of deco stops. Upon successful completion, participants gain the ability to conduct gas-switch extended no-deco dives, deco dives, and accelerated deco dives using air and enriched air (up to 100%), reaching depths of 45m.

Prerequisites:

  • 18 years old and above
  • Advanced Open Water certification (or equivalent)
  • Enriched Air Diver
  • Deep Diver
  • Dry Suit Diver
  • Rescue Diver and EFR/First Aid Certificate issued within 24 months
  • Tec 40 and have logged a minimum of 50 dives, 10 of which were deeper than 30m.

Not Included:

Additional expenses not covered include equipment, transportation, gas fills, share of instructor gas costs, and dive site entrance, incurring an extra cost of £23.00 per day.
