Introduction

This program goes beyond recreational diving, immersing you in the realm of technical diving. If you have an interest in technical diving but haven’t fulfilled the requirements for the Tec 45 Diver course, you may consider enrolling in the Tec 40 course. This course serves as the initial stage of the complete Tec Deep Diver course, involving the first four dives and accommodating side-mount if necessary.

Tec 40 Course Content:

Participants will gain knowledge in equipment rigging, gas planning, team diving, technical hand signals, gas shutdown drills, gas switching, long hose gas sharing, lift bag deployment, use of deco cylinders, equipment and gas failure procedures, diver emergencies and rescue drills, oxygen management, deco computer software, and executing deco stops. Upon successful completion, you’ll be capable of conducting gas-switch extended no-deco dives and deco dives using enriched air (up to 50%) with added conservatism, down to a depth of 40m.

Prerequisites:

  • 18 years or older
  • Advanced Open Water certification (or equivalent)
  • Enriched Air Diver,
  • Deep Diver, (or proof of 10 dives to 30m)
  • Dry Suit Diver, and have logged a minimum of 30 dives.

Not Included:

The following are not covered: equipment, transportation, gas fills, share of instructor gas costs, and dive site entrance, with an additional cost of £23.00 per day.
