Peak Performance Buoyancy £285.00
The peak performance buoyancy course is designed to fine-tune your buoyancy and extend your bottom time by reducing air consumption.
If you want to dive for longer and reduce your air consumption and feel more comfortable in the water then this course is for you.
How do I start?
- PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- Minimum age: 10 years old
What’s involved?
During your course, you’ll use PADI’s Basic Weighting Guidelines to determine the correct amount of weight. Then you’ll practice the fundamentals of peak performance buoyancy during two open water dives, including the buoyancy check, fine-tuning buoyancy underwater, weight positioning for trim, streamlining and visualization.
We spend a section of the course experimenting with weighting quantity and distribution. Most new divers have a tendency to overweight themselves and during this course we will focus on body position, inflation and deflation techniques.
What’s next?
This Specialty course also counts toward one of the five Specialties required for the Master Scuba Diver certification.
