Big Squid needs you!
Our dive centre has gone from strength to strength, growing steadily over the years and the fact is we now need Instructors and Divemasters more than ever to help us cover our courses!
We recently took the step to be able to run instructor courses at the dive centre, a big step for us because it finally allows us to grow and nuture the kind of professional divers who we want to employ.
We’d love to tell you more about the plans for our Pro Team and also talk to anyone who’d be interested in joining us as to how we can make that happen.
We’ll be running a Big Squid Pro night on May 19th, we’re going to have current instructors and DMs present as well as a short talk from John Forbath and also PADI Course Director Alex Griffin.
There’ll be special deals on the night for anyone wanting to go forward with their professional careers too. To find out more or to let us know if you’d like to attend then please drop us a line!

Kayaking London
Go with the flow,.
Kayak with Big Squid on a summer jaunt from Greenwich all the way to West London dropping you off at Vauxhall where you can grab a beer at the Thamisis Dock.
A 100% sight seeing trip, passing all of London’s top landmarks, easily viewed from the seat of a kayak.
Passing The Cutty Sark, Canary Wharf, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Bankside and the Globe, St Pauls, South Bank, London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Lambeth Palace, Mi5 and many other landmarks.
See London as its meant to be seen, from the river.
Journey time is a good 2.5 hours and with the tidal flow making the trip suitable for all abilities including complete beginners.
We will be using stable double kayaks with rudders making the trip effortless.

Pick up a free glass of bubbly, indulge in some tasty nibbles and find out more about inspiring conservation whilst surrounded by SEA LIFE London’s breath-taking displays.
With stands dotted throughout the aquarium run by some fantastic charities, you can learn more about amazing ocean creatures and how to help protect them whilst enjoying VIP treatment.
Tickets are £12 + a booking fee.

Oman Liveaboard

Join Big Squid to be one of the first to explore the Hallaniyat Islands in southern Oman on this 10 night dive adventure.
We will be joining the Saman Explorer from the 1st Nov 2016 and sailing from Muscat, through the Daymaniyat Islands, along the coast, and south to Salalah and the Hallaniyat Islands.
As well as taking in Oman’s most iconic dive sites, this also includes some exploratory dives along the way, making for a very exciting trip. Read more here
Big Squid Divemaster Course
Big squid are very fortunate in that we have an amazing team of Divemasters working with us. They all have UK diving experience and are equally at home in 1m or 20m of visibility.
The skills that you will gain whilst regularly diving in the UK mean that when you come to dive overseas the transition is often easy. If you would like to join our team and begin your Divemaster training you can find more information here.

Wraysbury Fun Dives
The Big Squid van will be at Wraysbury on the 22nd May and the 12th June. Let us know if you wish to join us diving and we can pair you up with a buddy. We can provide full kit rental or just tanks and weights.
