Whether or not you have experience of diving in British saltwater Big Squid run weekend trips to Portland that cater for all divers.
We usually dive around Portland Harbor or Balaclava Bay. With 4-5 dives over two days offering:
haunted wrecks like The Dredger, the Spaniard and the Countess of Erne.
On Past visits to Portland we have spotted:
Red Mullet, Turbot, Dogfish, Greater pipefish, Lesser sand eel, Garfish, Tom pot blenny, Pollack, Mackerel, Cork wing wrasse, Cuttlefish. Triggerfish Giant jellyfish Spider crabs,
and once an Octopus

Location & Accommodation
Arriving on Friday evening, we organize unique, local accommodation in the Royal Breakwater hotel, steeped in rich naval history with all the amenities a tired diver needs — cold beer, excellent food and of course a comfortable bed. We depart from Portland on Sunday afternoon.
Big squid cannot offer transport to and from Portland however we can try to arrange a lift for you with other members of the group on a fuel share basis.
On this trip it is possible to undertake
Open Water Qualifying dives, Advanced Open Water dives, Rescue Diver qualifying dives, Divemaster course work, Nitrox courses, Dry suit courses, Wreck courses other Specialty courses.
