The Padi dry suit course comprises an orientation session in a heated swimming pool and two open water dives which take place over one day. At the end of the course you will receive a dry suit specialty certification card and will be able to do the following
 
Don and Doff a dry suit with the aid of another diver
Perform a buoyancy check whilst wearing a dry suit
Perform a controlled descent without the aid of a descent line
Achieve neutral buoyancy by hovering for at least 60 seconds whilst near the bottom
Demonstrate the ability to recover your position when air is in the boots and you are upside down
Demonstrate an ascent from the bottom at a rate of no faster than 18 meters a minute
Remove and replace scuba unit and weight belt at the surface
Disconnect and reconnect low pressure inflator hose underwater



   
 
 
Designed For
To qualify as a drysuit diver you should be at least 12 years old and possess a PADI Open Water diver certification or junior open water diver certification.

This course is completed over 1 day. Locations for this course include Wraysbury near London, Portland Dorset, The Farne Islands, Stoney Cove and any Big Squid overseas trip. Here is a link to the course dates
Cost

£155. This includes your dry suit , manual use of dvd and all other equipment. It does not include site entry fees and if you choose to do your course from a boat, fees are not included. You can also combine this course with a PADI enriched air nitrox course for £240 a saving of £65

Equipment

Big squid provide full equipment for all courses, we do however recommend that you purchase your own masks,snorkels and fins for comfort and hygiene reasons. We stock a range of theses items at our shop in Clapham.
